API CONSTRUCTION SECURES ALSTOM CONTRACT AT KCP&L IATAN STATION

November 19, 2007 - APi Construction Company was recently awarded a large contract from Alstom to perform work at Kansas City Power & Light’s Iatan Station near Kansas City, Missouri. The work includes installing the Insulation & Lagging over the advanced emission control equipment that cleans the flue gas emitted by the 750-MW coal fired boilers.

The contract includes the supply and installation of approximately 485,000 square feet of insulation & lagging on the Unit #1 Selective Catalytic Reducer (SCR), Units #1 & 2 Alstom Fabric Filters, Induced Draft Fans, and the associated ductwork.

API’s Senior Project Manager, Tom Yoch, and Assistant Project Manager, Mason Pavel, completed the take-off and developed the proposal pricing. Work is scheduled to begin in January 2008 and conclude in the Fall of 2009.
