APi Group welcomes Lloyd Bushong
Bushong accepts position of president for Industrial Contractors, Inc.
April 19, 2007 - Lloyd Bushong and his wife Diana are new arrivals to the Bismarck, ND area, moving there from Michigans' Upper Peninsula. Lloyd has accepted the position of president and CEO of Industrial Contractors, Inc. (ICI) taking over the reins from Bob Nelson. Lloyd has two married sons Cory (Kristine) Bushong, Beau (Shannon) Bushong and two Grandsons Nicholas and Christopher.
Lloyd has spent his entire career in the construction industry serving in several leadership positions, including most of the last 13 years with different APi Group Companies. His most recent position in the APi Group family before moving to ICI, was as a Vice President for The Jamar Company which included over seeing the operations in the Marquette, MI office.
Lloyd has attended several Leadership, Educational, and Personal Development Institutes such as FMI, MCAA, George Meany School of Labor, International Foundation and Northern Michigan University.
His Experience and Education:

Bob Nelson
Bob Nelson left the Plant Engineering and Construction Department at Northern States Power Company, and joined APi Construction, in 1972, as an Estimator/Project Engineer working out of the St. Paul Home Office. In January of 1977, he and his family relocated to Denver, Colorado to open a Branch Office for APi Construction. While there, APi successfully completed a large two unit coal fired power plant project for Colorado Ute Electric. In December of 1979, he moved to Bismarck, ND to manage a branch office for APi Construction. In September of 1983, Bob was transferred to the newly acquired Industrial Contractors, Inc. as Executive Vice President. In August of 1991, he was named President/CEO of ICI, serving in that capacity until January of 2007. Bob will be officially retired from ICI effective June 30, 2007, and he and his wife Karen plan to move from Bismarck, and make their new home in Green Valley, Arizona.

- Graduate of a 4 year Boilermaker Apprenticeship Program.
- Spent 10 years in the field as a Journeyman Boilermaker.
- Business Agent for Boilermakers Local 169 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
- Co-Chairman for the UP Construction Labor Management Council.
- President of the Upper Peninsula Building Trade Council for six years.
- President of the UP Mechanical Contractors Associations for five years.
- Chairman of the Michigan Boilermaker Employers Group.
- Board of Directors for the Great Lakes Area Boilermaker Apprenticeship Program.
- Chairman of the Trustees for the UP Plumbers and Pipe Fitter Fringe Funds.
- Manager of Boiler Services for Pentecost Construction Company.
- Project Manager for ALSTOM Power.
- Division Manager and Vice President for The Jamar Company.
