API WELCOMES DELTA FIRE

APi welcomes Delta Fire

In late September, APi Group Inc. closed the deal for one well-established fire protection company: Delta Fire Systems Inc.

Delta offers a unique component to the future of APi.

“We are excited to have the employees of Delta Fire join the APi family,” said APi Group President and CEO, Russ Becker. “They are a hardworking group of people committed to the Life Safety industry.”

Established in 1963 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Delta has grown to be one of the largest and most respected fire protection contractors in the Intermountain area. It is a leader in the installation of pre-action, foam, deluge, ultra high speed, carbon dioxide and other specialty systems.

Delta gives APi the customer relationships, labor force and name recognition in the Salt Lake City market, while APi’s purchasing power will allow Delta to take advantage of purchasing programs for sprinkler system components and more.

“We are very excited to become part of the APi Group,” said Delta Fire President, Danny Schindler. “We feel with APi’s involvement we will be able to be more competitive in today’s very competitive market.”

Delta has a strong focus on the industrial power and mining industries. It is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and currently employs more than 150 people.

“We look forward to a long and profitable relationship with APi,” Schindler said.

Delta has branch offices in Reno, Nev., St. George, Utah, and Twin Falls, Idaho. It serves a client base in several western states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.

“This acquisition is an excellent complement to our expanding national footprint,” Becker said. “It will further enhance our ability to service our client base in this region.”

Delta offers the APi National Service Group another internal option to provide fire protection service to national accounts.
