Jamar works one year without a lost-time injury

The Jamar Company recently completed one year and is currently at approximately 1.1 million man hours without a lost-time injury.

“This is a milestone that all contractors in our industry strive for and few achieve. I’m very proud of what our employees have accomplished; this would not have been possible without their commitment and efforts toward injury prevention and loss control,” said Jamar President Mike McParlan.

In addition to this accomplishment, Jamar is in a position to finish 2007 with a 25 percent reduction in the number of OSHA recordable injuries from 2006.

“Not only has the frequency of injuries our employees suffer been reduced, but the severity of those injuries has been reduced significantly,” said Jamar Safety Manager Greg Olek.
