Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, was created to define “green building” by establishing a common standard of measurement; promoting integrated, whole-building design practices; recognizing environmental leadership in the building industry and raising consumer awareness of green building benefits. LEED Certification examines a facility's sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

The building features a three level skewed walkway bridge, with W14x283 stringers. Curtain wall supports will be HSS vertical frames. Plus a mechanical screen wall with rolled beams and tubes.

The Center for the Sciences project is in the capable hands of RJ Turk. RJ will be coordinating the engineering efforts of Erickson Roed, managing the detailing performance of ASR, administering the Wissco fabrication and directing the steel erection work by Findorff.
