The company was named one of the Protectowire Co.'s "Top Ten" distributors for 2008, received the Diversi-FIRE Award by FENWAL Protection Systems, the Outstanding Performance Award from Gamewell-FCI.

Protectowire's "Top Ten" Distributors Award is presented annually to recognize companies with the highest distribution volume.

According to its website, the Protectowire Co. is the originator and leader in the manufacture of Linear Heat Detectors and Special Hazard Linear Heat Detection. Its solutions include complete alarm systems for a vast array of industrial and commercial applications, its website said. APi Systems Group has been a distributor of Protectowire for 20 years.

This is the second year APi Systems Group earned the Diversi-FIRE award for "Most Diverse FENWAL Distributor".

In recognition for being a top distributor, APi Systems Group also received the 2008 Outstanding Performance Award from Gamewell-FCI, a design and manufacturing leader in the fire systems industry. APi Systems Group is a Platinum Level Distributor for Gamewell-FCI's cutting edge technology.

During the past six months, APi Systems Group expanded operations with new locations in Houston and San Antonio, Texas and Little Rock, Ark.
