July 28, 2009 - July 27, 2009 - APi National Service Group is pleased to welcome Project Manager Mike Hnat to our team.

In addition, Business Development Manager John Wilson from International Fire Protection (IFP), and Sales Representative Bernie Strohl from Western States Fire Protection Co. (WSFP) are assisting APi NSG in sales and project management. A special thank you to Gene Postma, Kamran Malek and Ronnie Davidson for the opportunity to work with Wilson and Strohl.

MIKE HNAT

Hnat has 10 years of experience in the automotive industry. He will work the automotive and manufacturing segment of APi NSG. His previous experience includes work as a safety consultant and fire protection specialist.

Hnat also currently holds the position of firefighter/fire prevention officer with the East Amherst Fire Department in New York. He has been with the fire department for 20 years and has held offices of EMS captain, rescue lieutenant, engine lieutenant and fire captain.

Hnat resides in East Amherst, N.Y., with his wife, Heidi, and their three children: Michael, Anthony and Olivia. In his spare time, Hnat enjoys camping, fishing, playing with his children, working in the yard and riding his motorcycle.

JOHN WILSON

Wilson has been in the Life Safety field for two years. He has worked with IFP as the national accounts manager to manage, organize, and grow the national accounts division.

Wilson graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in political science.

Wilson lives in Murfreesboro, Tenn., with his wife, Eryn, who is a fourth grade teacher, and their two pets: a Calico cat and English springer spaniel. In his spare time, Wilson enjoys fly-fishing, bird hunting, playing baseball, skiing and golf.

BERNIE STROHL

Strohl has been in the fire protection business since 1965. He began working as a 669 Apprentice in 1970 and became a temporary Journeyman in 1972. Strohl designed and installed systems until 1978 when he started estimating, specializing in service work and retrofits.

Strohl has been with WSFP for 20 years. He spent the last three years marketing for the company.

Strohl lives in Central Nebraska with his wife, Karole. They have been married for 43 years and have four children and 10 grandchildren. In his spare time, Strohl enjoys flint knapping, fishing and hunting.
