Laurissa Jarvis becomes a professional engineer
Jarvis is now a professional engineer in the state of Tennessee.
"Please join me in congratulating Laurissa on this major achievement," said Design Manager Jeremy Cross. "It was a very demanding test that required hours of preparation and diligence to even attempt."
The eight-hour exam can only be completed by a person with an engineering degree and at least four years of progressive engineering experience. Jarvis completed the mechanical engineering subject area of the exam.
Jarvis earned a Bachelor's of Science in mathematics from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., in 2000. Three years later, she earned a Bachelor's of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Memphis.
In 2005, Jarvis began her career with as a design technician with Security Fire Protection, a premier installer of fire protection systems in refrigerated and ambient distribution centers throughout the United States.
