LEJEUNE'S LATEST HEALTHCARE PROJECT
LeJeune's latest healthcare project
Dec. 8, 2009 - The next healthcare project for LeJeune Steel is the Lake Forest Hospital's Ambulatory Surgery Treatment Center in Grayslake, Ill. The surgery center will allow residents of this fast-growing area to schedule outpatient surgeries closer to home.
The 317 ton braced frame structure will be adjacent to the existing Prairie Crossings Medical Facility. The elevated steel framed first floor contains four operating rooms. Patients will also be able to undergo cancer treatments at a new outpatient cancer center.
This project totals more than 71,000 square feet and requires 608 squares of metal deck. A galvanized chiller platform will be required for the new building. LeJeune will position the platform on the existing building, a significant effort for the steel erector. Steel erection activities will take place in February 2010.
