April 20, 2010 - April 20, 2010 - Americold Logistics, the largest provider of temperature controlled food distribution service in the U.S., awarded Security Fire Protection with its 2009 Vendor of the Year award on March 25.

Security Fire Protection is a Tennessee-based premier installer of fire protection systems in refrigerated and ambient distribution centers nationwide.

"This award is a testament to the great work Jimmy Waller and his crews have performed," said Sheldon Dacus, Security Fire Protection vice president/technical services. "We have always valued Americold as a customer and it is great to know that they value us as a contractor."

Americold has been a valued customer of Security Fire Protection for 20 years. Americold has more than 100 large cold-storage facilities located throughout North America, and works with thousands of service and contract vendors. This is the third year Americold offered the award.

"It is obvious to me that Security Fire was recognized because of our strong customer service through repairs and annual inspections at their facilities," Dacus said. "It is an incredible honor to be recognized as number one."

"This is a great example of the owner-direct relationships that are the best and most enjoyable part of our business," said Paul Grunau, APi Group Inc. chief operating officer.
