APi Group
companies (Vipond Fire Protection, VFP Fire Systems and Security
Fire Protection) worked together to install a diesel
fire pump assembly for a temporary morgue in New Orleans.
On October 20 FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) contacted Security
Fire Protection regarding the installation of a fire pump. FEMA is tasked with
responding to, planning for, recovering from and mitigating against disasters.
Marshal
Gilton, Pump Manager for Security Fire Protection, immediately got on the phone
and found a two-year-old pre-packaged fire pump house
assembly at a Catholic nursing home in New Brunswick. He also recalled that Brian
Irving of Vipond Fire Protection's New Brunswick office attended a fire pump
training class earlier in the year so called him for help. |
