APi Construction Company has achieved the safety benchmark of performing one million hours of work without a lost time accident. There are several factors that contribute to attaining this goal.
First, the management of APi Construction is committed to providing employees a safe place to work. The project managers of each job participate in a pre-job safety meeting to identify the hazards that will exist on the project and the tools, work processes, and programs needed to decrease and eliminate those hazards.
Second, the employees actively participate in the safety program through training, hazard reporting, and various safety incentive programs that are directly affected by safe and unsafe work practices.
Third, when an injury does occur, all levels of the organization are involved to investigate the incident and to get the injured employee medical attention and back to work as soon as possible.
Thank you to all of the employees of APi Construction for working safely and participating in the programs that have been instituted to mitigate the exposures to hazards that are inherent in the construction industry.
