APi Construction secures B&W contract
APi Construction Company was recently awarded two large contracts from The Babcock & Wilcox Construction Company for work to be performed on the Comanche Generating Station Units #1-3 in Pueblo, Colorado. The work includes installing the insulation, lagging, and architectural siding over the advanced emission control equipment that cleans the air from the coal fired boilers to the stacks. Andy McCleery and his family recently came to APi from Washington D.C. where he served with the Army’s “Old Guard” at Arlington National Cemetery. Andy was responsible for planning numerous high-level ceremonies and special events while assigned at The Old Guard to include security for the State of the Union Address. APi Group employed Shane Shipman in June 2006 after he served five years in the United States Army. He was hired into the APi Leadership Development Program, a comprehensive training program developed to prepare leaders for future critical roles within APi. Prior to APi Group, Shane served at Fort Polk, Louisiana where the Army's Joint Readiness Training Center is located.
