JAMAR
COMPANY IS CURRENTLY INSTALLING THE LATEST STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGY
AT THE PRESQUE ISLE POWER PLANT

Project Status - 11/28/2005
The project
is in the final stages of completion. Jamar has turned the
ductwork
over to the owner so they can run
flue gasses through the system for testing.
The
subcontractors are also finishing their work. Jamar will be off
the site sometime early December, 2005.

Setting
Unit 9 Return Ductwork
All ductwork
will be set in place by October 23'rd so that the tie-ins can
be secured. By October
29'th the ductwork will be gas tight so testing of the unit
can begin.
Fall weather is now becoming
a factor. The Jamar crew is working longer hours
in order to stay on schedule. They have started
working 10 hour days, 5 days a week. They have
also worked the past three Saturdays
with the
boilermaker
craft.

Project Status - 9/13/2005
Setting
the Ash Silo
The
project is now at about 60% complete with an anticipated schedule
to run flue
gas through the ductwork and baghouse by October 29'th.
The picture to the right shows the setting of the
fly ash silo. Jamar field staff erected the silo and are
setting it up on the structural support steel.
Below you see the Jamar crew moving the
110,000 pound section of ductwork from the fabrication yard
to the erection site with the crane. You also see the Jamar
crew setting the 110,000 pound section of ductwork on its supports.
