Position Description:Leadership Development TraineeAPi Group is looking for top-tier junior leaders to enter our Leadership Development Program (LDP). This highly selective program will provide candidates with the requisite development to prepare them to serve APi in some of its most critical leadership positions. As an LDP trainee, you will be immersed in the program for approximately 45-48 weeks. During that time you will gain in-depth operational knowledge of approximately eight different APi Group Business Units located throughout the country. You will spend approximately five to seven weeks at each site with a senior manager mentor. While on each rotation, the main objective is to develop the candidate for leadership within APi. To ease the strain of heavy initial travel requirements, APi will work closely with each candidate to rotate training periods between locations in Minnesota and other APi Group sites around the country. So, effectively you will be spending at least half of your first year in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region. Upon completion of the LDP, you will be assigned to one of the eight companies in which you conducted your training. Potential starting positions could include Assistant Program Manager, Department Manager or other more senior positions. Because 70% of APi’s business segments are located in the upper Midwest, there is a high likelihood that you will be ultimately assigned to locations within MN, ND, WI, or IL. However, significant opportunities also exist in other areas of the country and candidates do have input concerning their desired location. Position Details:Location: St. Paul, MN. Travel Requirements: Up to 50% initially Supervisory: This program is designed to place the candidate into a significant position of leadership / responsibility upon completion. During the training program itself however, there are no direct supervisory responsibilities. Requirements:Four year college degree from an accredited institution. APi is looking for candidates who have demonstrated significant success in dynamic leadership positions. Candidates with strong interpersonal, team-building and relationship development skills are ideal. Candidates must be eager to learn the construction business and be flexible with location and travel (at least during the first year). Candidates who value loyalty and being part of a team will excel at APi. Construction experience is not required. Salary:~$65K base salary + incentives and Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP).
