Vice President of Business Development

Richard (Rich) Pohlidal is the vice president of business development at APi Group Inc., the parent company to more than 40 independently managed life safety, energy, specialty construction and infrastructure companies in over 200 locations worldwide.
Rich began his career in the construction industry working with one of APi Group’s strategic suppliers, Ferguson Enterprises. He then transitioned to American Standard/Trane Corporation managing business logistics and eventually sales management for the Eastern Rockies Group.
Prior to joining APi Group, Rich worked for the United States Military Academy at West Point for just over ten years. Prior to West Point, Rich was on the rugby coaching staff at the United States Air Force Academy. Rich began as the corporate and foundation relationships officer for the Association of Graduates and was promoted to major gifts officer focusing on brick and mortar projects for the academy. Rich then went on to be the head coach for the Army Rugby program under the West Point Department of Athletics.
Rich joined APi Group in 2014 as the director of national purchasing and was promoted to president of Modulus, MEP, an APi Group operating company. In 2017 Rich moved into the role of vice president of business development for APi Group.
Rich is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) where he played soccer then rugby for the Nittany Lions. Rich enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Kristi, as they support their daughters Hannah and Grace in their athletic endeavors. Rich is an avid hunter, mountain biker and skier.
