Kamran Malek is the president of International Fire Protection (IFP). IFP is one of the largest fire protection companies in Southeastern United States. Since its launch in 1990, IFP has grown from its original office location in Madison, Ala., where it is still headquartered, to office locations in 12 cities serving a customer base in 14 Southern states.
Prior to IFP, Malek was the design manager for three fire protection contractors from 1981 to 1985. In 1985, Malek started and managed a branch office for Grinnell Fire Protection, Inc.
In 1990, Malek became the president and co-founding member of IFP, along with his partner Ronnie Davison. During his years of service, IFP received numerous acknowledgments including Small Business of the Year award in 2000.
Malek earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University. He is a fire protection engineer technician and license holder in 10 states. He has been involved in local church activities, and has actively trained and coached soccer to children from ages 7 to 18-years-old.
