Mark Anderson is president of Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors (MMC) that combined operations with Doody Mechanical Inc. in 2011 and is a subsidiary of APi Group Inc. He is responsible for integrating the two companies and encouraging the culture of continuous improvement to maintain its position as the premier mechanical contractors serving customers nationwide.
Anderson has been involved in mechanical contracting since 1983 and has been an employee of MMC since 1984. He held various positions including estimator, project manager and vice president. MMC is responsible for mechanical systems in prominent structures, namely the Minnesota Twins Baseball Stadium and the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Bellevue Medical Center in Omaha, Four Winds Casino in Michigan, and the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.
Anderson previously worked at Northern States Power Co. as a research engineer where he helped install one of the area’s first cold storage air conditioning systems.
Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the local SMACNA and MMCA associations and previously served on their board of directors.
