Jeff Daane began his career with Western States Fire Protection (WSFP) in the Dallas, Texas, office in 1987 as a designer and project manager. After he spent two years in Dallas learning the business, he was transferred to Denver, Colo., where he continued to excel in project management. Some of the largest projects in the Rocky Mountain Region had its fire protection installations managed by Daane.
In 1995, Daane was promoted to service manager for the Denver office. During his tenure, he expanded the division to include inspections and residential work. Despite the highly competitive market, Daane built what remains the largest residential division within WSFP.
In 2003, Daane was presented the opportunity to return home and run the struggling Rapid City, S.D., office. With Daane as area manager, the Rapid City office became so successful that it spawned two satellite offices to help cover the large territory the branch serviced.
In July 2007, he took on another challenge after he accepted the position of WSFP executive vice president. In January 2014, he was promoted to CEO and president of WSFP. Daane continues to travel throughout the country to support WSFP offices, managers and staff with his extensive knowledge, experience and leadership.
When he is not juggling his responsibilities, Daane enjoys spending time with his wife, Lori, and their two children, Sydney and Ben. He and his family still call Rapid City home.
